What I Believe
QUOTE OF THE WEEK

Compare yourself with those who on the Lord’s Day hear nothing except the dismal sound of the world. What a privilege it is for you to hear the proclamation of the gospel!

Giving Thanks in November

This morning, with the help of my Google Reader, I got caught up on my blog reading. I have 69 subscriptions, at least 3/4 of which are the blogs of friends I have gotten to know exclusively through blogging.

I visited Finland, several places in Canada, England, Ireland, Australia, and many states in the US. I read Christian blogs, mommy blogs, calligraphy blogs, theological blogs, photography blogs, daily Bible readings, a Daily Haiku blog, and one newsy/political/cultural blog. Without the Google Reader, I could never follow this many blogs.

I pray for my blogging friends and my blogging friends pray for me. Daily, I am challenged and encouraged and entertained by you, my friends.

So this morning, I am thankful for my blogging friends, for my Google Reader, and for the positive impact that blogging has had on my life.

I am so thankful for you too Kim! Yours is a blog that challenges me to think and gets those brain cells moving a bit. :) I am astonished that I blogged for as long as I did without even being aware that there was a whole "blogging world" out there. I have really enjoyed getting to know my new friends over the past six months...you all are truly a daily encouragement to me.

Hi Kim,
I can't believe how much easier blogging is with google reader. Before Lana showed me how to do the reader I would click on every blog to see if there was something new. Yikes that took a lot of time :0)
Have a wonderful week...

I feel like th new kid on the blog and I still have a bunch to read every day! Some I can give a miss- but some are like checkng in with family. Actually, quite a few are exactly checking in with family! :0)

Blog world has helped me escape the homebound, midwestern rural place I tended to stay in. I have loved meeting new friends this way!

It's kind of neat isn't it?

I'm thankful for blogging friends - and I love that we can pray for each other.

I don't do Google Reader - I kind of like clicking on them and being surprised. But I'l check it out.
