Giving Thanks in November
Sunday, November 9, 2008 at 01:59PM
Along side the usual Sunday thanksgivings, I am thankful for a refrigerator full of leftovers and a family that never complains when I bring them out for lunch (and supper!).
Today's leftover smorgasboard includes: chicken fajitas, beef, bean, and rice burrito fixings, carrot orange ginger soup, Pasta E Fagioli soup, foccacia bread and pesto dipping oil, and leftover German Chocolate birthday cake.
What are you thankful for today? Big stuff, little stuff, nearly inconsequential stuff? All that stuff makes up our blessings in life and are a gift from God;let us thank Him for all--even leftovers!
Send your links to Rebecca and she'll round them up in one post!

I'm thankful that the Lord has very gently led us, and that we are now in the process of joining as members our local church. I'm thankful that the church takes that seriously, and that both we and our boys were examined by the elders today. I'm thankful to join in corporate worship, both with the local body of Christ, as well as the worldwide body of Christ.
Leftovers of food we love are highly anticipated meals; leftovers of foods that are left over because we didn't want to eat them the first time are kind of like a gift you don't like, don't have a use for and feel bad about getting rid of. Tonight we had the first variety (yum!).
I was thankful yesterday for a nice, quiet, relaxing afternoon. I spent some of that time with my daughter who wanted to stamp her own card. It's a joy to see my daughter fall in love with the same hobby that I love so much.
I'm so thankful for leftovers and an easy family as well. I have been very creative lately, trying to cut back on the grocery bill and no one has complained yet. ;-)
