Giving Thanks in November
As a member of a very young start-up church, I'm so grateful for the Session and congregation of our over-seeing church. They lend us leadership and support (and their Pastor every five weeks!). Their oversight allows us to celebrate the Lord's Supper and they give us guidance and direction as we work toward becoming a particular church and, eventually, calling our own Pastor. They remember what it was like, fifteen years ago, when they were 'where we are now', and are able to encourage us with testimonies of God's faithfulness.
I'm thankful for the church, the body of Christ, where we can worship and serve together, spur each other on to good works, and hold each other accountable.
I'm thankful for the faithful service--week in and week out--of the members of our church that prepare the order of worship, ready the facility, play piano, teach Sunday School, give and pray.

This isn't about the post...but I was wondering how you like squarespace. I am trying it and your blog is the first I have seen that is using it and the blog looks great..
I LOVE Squarespace! There is nothing I DON'T love about Squarespace! (how's that for a double negative--had to throw that in so my comments weren't all over the top positive, but there's really no way I can say anything negative!) By all means, take the full month test run and try everything out. I will do whatever I can to help you if you have questions. The Squarespace staff is responsive and very polite and helpful. I've got nothing but praise for Squarespace--and it just keeps getting better! For ease of use and bandwidth, I don't think you can do better. Definitely a great blogging platform!
Kim ~ it's easy to see how much you enjoy your church family and the worship you experience with them. So glad that the Lord called you to serve in that special place!
