What I Believe
QUOTE OF THE WEEK

Compare yourself with those who on the Lord’s Day hear nothing except the dismal sound of the world. What a privilege it is for you to hear the proclamation of the gospel!

O, Tidings of Comfort and Joy

For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.

God rest ye merry, gentlemen

Let nothing you dismay.

Remember Christ our Savior

Was born on Christmas Day

To save us all from Satan's pow'r

When we had gone astray--

O, Tidings of Comfort and Joy,

Comfort and Joy!

O, Tidings of Comfort and Joy!

Christ Jesus, the long awaited Consolation of Israel, has come--'a light for revelation to the Gentiles, and for glory to your people Israel.' Good tidings, indeed!

The shepherds heard and, rejoicing, they returned; glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen, as it had been told them.

Simeon's eyes saw the salvation that God had prepared in the presence of all the peoples, and rejoiced.

Anna remained night and day at the temple, worshiping with fasting and prayer awaiting the Consolation of Israel and when He was come 'at that very hour she began to give thanks to God and to speak of Him to all who were waiting for the redemption of Jerusalem.'

Redemption has come! Rejoice!  We have now been comforted, we have reason for great joy this day!

Merry, Merry Christmas, friends!

And merry Christmas to you; and we should not be on the computer, so I'm going to play with the kids.
