What I Believe
QUOTE OF THE WEEK

Compare yourself with those who on the Lord’s Day hear nothing except the dismal sound of the world. What a privilege it is for you to hear the proclamation of the gospel!

Dictionary Word of the Day:  aestival

aestival \ES-tuh-vuhl\, adjective:
Of or belonging to the summer; as, aestival diseases.

I like this word.  Makes me think of an aestival festival.

Hmm.  Spring Fling, Aestival Festival, Fall Ball. . .we need to think of an event celebrating winter.

Winter Hinter(land)?

Wintery Jamboree?

Don't laugh.  This is harder than it looks.  What can you come up with?

How about Winter Splinter (splendor) and then you could decorate with prisms and icicles and many mirrors to reflect and splinter the light! The main colors could be white and light blue and silver-- sorry- I have a real problem NOT planning parties once I come up with a theme.

OH! Excellent! I thought of splinter, but could make no sense of it myself! I can absolutely see your vision of a Winter Splinter Ball!

I actually have been trying to think of a rhyme for "winter" since you posted this and have come up with....nothing! I certainly won't put down your idea because it's a whole lot better than nothing at all. :)
