New Banner

I wasn't going to roll out my fall banner until the middle of the month, but the rain brought cooler temperatures and the local high schools are playing football tonight; we've finished our first week of school and I just thought it was time.

The leaves are from the linden trees in my front yard.  The Japanese beetles have come and gone, leaving these lacy leaf skeletons behind.  I like them.

Now I'm ready for the leaves to turn and the smell of fires in my neighbor's fireplaces and longer walks with the dogs.  How about you?  Are you ready for fall?

I'm always ready for Fall- bring on the falling leaves and bonfires- press the cider and hand me a pumpkin! Allyson keeps randomly murmuring "Pumpkins" in this far away voice as we drive down the country roads... I haven't SEEN any but she must have a second sense about pumpkins!

Fall is my very favorite season of all so I love to see your new banner up there. Today was the first day I was able to wear a sweater and jeans and I loved it! (But I just heard that it's supposed to be back up to 80 degrees tomorrow.) I'll have to put the sweaters away for a little bit longer I guess. :(
