Resistance is Futile

"I have far too many pens--I don't know what to do with all of them! And yet, as soon as I see a new one, I start craving it. I cannot keep myself from buying them.--Roland Barthes
A practice sheet. This hand requires writing with thecorner of the nib. Perfect for the parallel pens. I've never really bothered with this one because my other nibs just weren't responsive enough (there. blame it on the nibs instead of myself! hee hee). Needs more practice, but at least I can do the little nib corner tip pirouette!

Ah, the tools of the trade, of the passion. But I imagine that your pens are not as pricy as my sewing machines. Of course, I only have eight sewing machines--you probably have more pens than that. Then there is the fabric stash of a quilter--mine is really quite modest compared to those of some of my friends. And threads? Don't get me started on threads... and you certainly don't want to know about rulers, or rotary cutters...
Oh, I know all about rulers, rotary cutters, cutting mats! : D I'm a quilter, too. I only have three sewing machines (two are antique) but I do have a HUGE fabric stash!
I have those pens! I don't use them as wonderfully as you do, but I'm hoping to pick them up again soon!
I first heard about them from you several years ago, remember? I've wanted them all this time and finally could resist no longer! I bought the 2.4 and 3.8 but wish I'd ordered the smallest instead of the 3.8. I know I will use the larger, but I would use the smaller more. Someday I'll get it; now that I'm using them, my resistance is WAAAAY down.
I really like the quote- I have something of a pen/pencil overdrive desire/need! I look and covet and walk away 5 times out of 6- but watch out on that sixth visit!
That's me with dishes, cake plates, etc. etc. :0)
