In 15 Words or Less

It's been a while since I've participated in Laura's In 15 Words or Less Challenge. This morning's picture nudged me out of my frozen poetry slump.  An eleven word description for you:

Solid, liquid, vapor;
Descending froth, silken shards
of tarnished, halting motion.

Not great, I know, but I do feel a thaw beginning.
