QUOTE OF THE WEEK

Compare yourself with those who on the Lord’s Day hear nothing except the dismal sound of the world. What a privilege it is for you to hear the proclamation of the gospel!

Giving Thanks in November

I am so thankful for my husband, Tom.  I don't share much about him on my blog in order to preserve his privacy, but it would be unthinkable not to set privacy aside and give thanks to God for my wonderful husband.  He's not perfect and neither am I; but somehow, two imperfect, sinful people can come together and make a nearly perfect marriage!  Only God can bring two sinners together in a way that both are made better because of the other.

I love to hear about happy marriages, marriages which reveal God in them. So I love what you said in that last sentence:
"Only God can bring two sinners together in a way that both are made better because of the other."

That's truth. And I thank God for it too!

That was sweet, Kim! :) I'm happy for both of you - that you found each other, and that you make your lives work. :)

Great post, Kim! I was going to do one on my husband- maybe closer to Thanksgiving.

Your post reminded me of John Piper's twitter today: "One of the reasons you married an imperfect person is to teach you how merciful God is to have you in his family."

Amen and amen. I am so grateful for the love of a good and godly man--glory to God!
