What I Believe
QUOTE OF THE WEEK

Compare yourself with those who on the Lord’s Day hear nothing except the dismal sound of the world. What a privilege it is for you to hear the proclamation of the gospel!

A New Day

Sam starts school today, but I don't.  It's a strange thing.

No boxes of books arriving on the front steps in July.  No new books in the school cabinet.  No setting up notebooks and schedules.

This year, the new books cost a fortune and they're loaded into a bookbag for the first time ever.  I have a strong desire to stand him on the sidewalk in front of the house and take a picture of him with his bookbag like I did with his brothers when they had their first day of Kindergarten.  I'm pretty sure he wouldn't stand for that!

I've got plenty to keep myself busy, but I think I'll miss homeschooling.  And I know I'll miss having Sam around.

I'm keeping you both in prayer today.

This clutched at my heart for when I consider our future. Right now I'm firmly ensconced in the school room life, but I know that too quickly it will end.

In other notes, I wanted to let you know that the other day I was feeling particularly overwhelmed, trying to get my notes together for the upcoming Bible study, and while frantically trying to find something I was sure I had lost, I "found" your bookmark "Endeavor to Persevere". It was the greatest moment of remembering how God's people lift one another up. So, thank you again for that gift. I'll lift you up today as you take this transition stage, endeavoring to persevere.
