C'est fini!

Well, almost. The dormers still need to be scrubbed, scraped, and painted and there are a few places to touch up, but for the most part, the house is DONE! It took about 8 weeks--much longer than I expected. Tom and I worked four solid days last week and really made a lot of progress!
Tomorrow I'll reclaim the garage, which has served as the painting station for our many windows and screens and then I'll take a few days off to work on some calligraphy for a wedding that's quickly approaching. I still have fences to scrape and paint and I want to paint the windows and trim on the inside of the front porch. We'll probably finish everything up just in time for leaf raking and window washing before cold weather sets in.
Oh, well. It will be a great feeling to have it all done on that first crisp winter day when the furnace kicks on for the first time!

Well done! Very well done!!
It really looks great, Kim! Even better in real life than in the pictures!
All your hard work has paid off----it looks wonderful!
Job well done! You all have worked hard and your home looks very nice. Are you like the rest of us and do a drive by to see how it looks coming down the road? Ha! Other son was married last month so now we are empty nesters. Change is good yet I loved having my boys home. My biggest problem is I cook too much! We are almost finished on our two year home project with new vinyl siding and stone around the house. The last is almost done -- the flue. My hubs has worked hard doing it all by himself! I'm very proud of him. We also just got our driveway paved! No more stones in the yard from the snowblower, none in the vehicles nor drug in the house from lug sole work boots ...
GORGEOUS!!
