In 15 Words or Less
Nestled deep in green
hand rubbed mahogany
spreads autumn fingers
In 15 Words or Less Poems are hosted by Laura Salas.
The thing about photopoetry is that some images just make you want to keep going:
Observance
silken woodgrains
spiky armor
redolent and evocative;
a tiny wisp of
sticky fingered remembrance
This photo brought back memories of another November day, twelve years ago, when I stooped to pick up a pinecone at my Grandmother's graveside service. I still have that pinecone, an emblem of that day; grief and joy, old memories and pungent new ones.
