QUOTE OF THE WEEK

Compare yourself with those who on the Lord’s Day hear nothing except the dismal sound of the world. What a privilege it is for you to hear the proclamation of the gospel!

That's very good.

What pops into my mind when I read that is stuff at church: washing up, welcoming people - the list goes on.

I read the resolutions regularly and that one always pops out at me. It reminds me of Jesus' words in Matthew 5:

In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.

So often we pray, asking God to glorify Himslelf in our works and we forget to glorify Him in the good words of others.

1st. I really like this quote. Thanks for sharing with us.

2nd. You make an excellent point about giving God glory for seeing good works in others. Thank you for pointing this out. I want to become one who does this.

THANKS!!
