Compare yourself with those who on the Lord’s Day hear nothing except the dismal sound of the world. What a privilege it is for you to hear the proclamation of the gospel!

Bakker, Frans.
I'm happy to say that I was able to understand the French without reading the translation. I took French all throughout high school...and some of it hasn't gone away! XO
And no, that isn't me. I would be, well, less slender. hehehe
I took French from 7th grade through my senior year and majored in French the first time I went to college (over thirty years ago!) and after all this time I still remember most of it! I can read it better than I can write it (nasty verb conjugations, don't you know. . .)
I am enjoying the cartoons. Glad to hear your son Sam will be creating some for us. I love the hair! (I remember some guys with hair like that. Sorta of 70'ish huh!) Kudos Sam!!! I'll keep an eye out for ya!
I took French all the way through school until Grade 12, and I remember NONE of it - although I was pleased to see that I could still read the cartoon. Sam is a talented guy!

Is that supposed to be a drawing of the teacher in your house? :-)
LOL at what Kim in ON commented!!
Very cute/funny cartoon--who is the cartoonist???
This post is very timely as our oldest is wanting to begin French this year (her Jr. year)!
The cartoonist is my son, Sam.

(Sam has agreed to submit a cartoon for me every once in a while.)

Love your son's sense of humor!
Hooray for Sam! (And thanks for the translation!)
