A Letter a Week:  'F'

This one was a lot of fun!  As a mom of three boys, I've seen many a tadpole grow from tiny, black wiggling 'commas' to tadpoles, to froglets, and then to frog.  Once, we raised a spring frog in a jar in our dining room and hadn't realized how quickly the four legged tadpole grew into a full fledged frog!  He escaped, but after a few alarming moments and some help from our cat, George, we found him!

I can't wait until my grandson is old enough to bring home tadpoles!

I like this. My Mother-in-Law used to do many cross-stitch tapestries
Where are you? It is only 2p.m. on Tuesday here in the UK - I won't be posting my ABC Wednesday for another 12 hours or more!

OH! I AM early, aren't I? I have no idea what time it is in the UK. I posted mine after someone else had posted, thinking it must be time now. I guess from now on I shouldn't use THAT method of knowing when to post! ***blush***

What delightful frogs, from eggs to adulthood, plus the usual beautiful letter! I, too, raised 4 children and numerous amphibians, although in our house it was a salamander that got away and - alas! - was eventually found dessicated under the living room sofa.

another fun choice Kim. I've seen a few little guys with frogs clicking around ABC's this week. So darn cute. It will be fun to experience this with the latest little guy in your family...

Tadpoles are a lot of fun, especially when you get to see them grow into frogs. Lovely art and calligraphy.

Oh I love how you illustrated the life cycle of a frog! Great handwriting, too!

I played, too! My "F" photo is up here.

Ah, this is fantastic. I think you are extremely creative and using the frog theme is very cute and I love this one very much!

This is a lovely letter design and I remember as a kid catching tadpoles in our ponds on the farm.

We have mutant tadpoles in our pond. they STILL haven't grown legs. they're just huge tadpoles!

: D

They aren't mutant! They are probably bull frog tadpoles. They can take up to two years to finish their transformation from egg to frog.

Great F - we collected frogspawn when we were kids - not sure my mum approved. The flooded footpath on my Paignton pic is from March.

Thanks for dropping by for a visit. I love your calligraphy! As a mother of 4 children (all grown now), including two boys, we had our share of strange creatures growing in our house, too.
