What I Believe
QUOTE OF THE WEEK

[t]he Spirit of God shows to us hidden things, the knowledge of which cannot reach our senses: Promised to us is eternal life, but it is promised to the dead; we are assured of a happy resurrection, but we are as yet involved in corruption; we are pronounced just, as yet sin dwells in us; we hear that we are happy, but we are as yet in the midst of many miseries; an abundance of all good things is promised to us, but still we often hunger and thirst; God proclaims that he will come quickly, but he seems deaf when we cry to him. What would become of us were we not supported by hope, and did not our minds emerge out of the midst of darkness above the world through the light of God’s word and of his Spirit? Faith, then, is rightly said to be the subsistence or substance of things which are as yet the objects of hope and the evidence of things not seen.John Calvin, Calvin's Commentaries, Hebrews 11

Giving Thanks in November

I'm so thankful for my little grandson, Elliott--the apple of my eye!  What a wonderful blessing it is to be a grandma!  I'm SO looking forward to meeting my granddaughter, Madelyn, due in February.

I.CAN'T.WAIT!

The longer I live, the more I see that each year brings its own, unique blessings.  I loved being a new wife, a new mother, the busy mother of three boys,  the home school mother, the mother of the groom, the mother in law of the bride and now the grandma.  Change is inevitable, but in each season of life, life is good because God has blessed me with a wonderful, loving, growing family!

We still have one more day of thankful posts!  There's still time to join in!  Just send your link to Rebecca!

"Change is inevitable, but in each season of life, life is good because God has blessed me". Thanks for the reminder, and Amen!

That is an adorable picture. why is it the pictures where they are wearing hats are so much cuter than others?
Me, too, Kim- just giving thanks that I get to meet and know the grand(kids) .

'Adorable' seems to be the spontaneous word, and I agree. Oh, I can imagine how eager you are to have little Madelyn in your arms! Being a grandma must be just the most wonderful thing!
